Senior Data / Machine Learning Engineer (with Java & Python, remote)
We are looking for experienced Senior Data Engineers with Machine Learning exposure to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the daily operations, support and tuning of a Machine Learning platform (real-time scoring / inferencing platform), including interfacing with the Cloudera Hadoop team, and various other software tools in the ecosystem. You will need to be comfortable writing Java and Python code, and be very comfortable with SQL and NoSQL DDL and DML. You will also provide specialised consulting, architectural, and advisory services and be involved in special projects.
Experience and Certifications
- Java and Python programming experience (certification preferred)
- Databases (SQL / NoSQL, e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra – certification preferred)
- Linux (certification preferred)
- Networking understanding
- Security (LDAP, AD, TLS)
- Clustering Technologies (Hadoop and it’s various layered components)
- Some familiarity with NiFi, Kafka, Airflow
- Comfortable with Git version control
- AWS (certification preferred), Azure or GCP
- Good understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning pipelines, processes and tools
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- A team player, a fast learner, a can-do attitude and hungry to grow in our dynamic environment
- Willing to help out with standby and work overtime as and when required

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the daily operations, support and tuning of a Big Data platform, including Cloudera Hadoop and various other software tools in the ecosystem. You will also provide specialised consulting, architectural, and advisory services and be involved in special projects.
Experience and certifications:
- Hadoop / Cloudera (certification preferred)
- Linux (certification preferred)
- Python programming
- Relational Databases / SQL / NoSQL (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Networking understanding
